Amy Strain, CRNP
I grew up right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my parents, older sister and younger brother. I knew I wanted to be a registered nurse before high school which helped me establish my educational track early. I headed to East Stroudsburg University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2011. After working in rehabilitation facility for 2 years, I transitioned to a pediatric primary care office where I really fell in love with the atmosphere and patient population. After completing my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at Gwynedd Mercy University in 2017, I moved to Savannah, Georgia to start a new chapter with my husband. I worked in a clinic near Savannah as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. We then relocated to Alexandria, Virgina in May of 2018 for his work, which led me to working at Friendship Pediatrics.
Being able to help pediatric patients and their families has always been very fulfilling for me. Through personal experience and clinical care, I have devoleped a particular interest in nutrition and gastrointestinal concerns. I have my Pediatric Nurse Certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you here at Friendship Pediatrics!
